Eco Jungle Safari Tour around Koh Samui Including Lunch

73 reviews
Koh Samui is renowned as one of Thailand’s most idyllic islands, but you don’t have to spend all day at the beach. Escape the crowds and venture into the jungle on this thrilling 6-hour Jeep safari. Visit the Magic Buddha Garden, swim beneath the Namuang waterfall, tour a rubber plantation, and enjoy lunch with a mountain view. Hotel pickup and drop-off is included.

A little off the beaten path this is definitely a market for the locals. There is a variety of vegetables and meat for sale and the usual sarongs and knock off items close by. The food is authentic Thai- I usually try to find places like this to eat as you are supporting the locals and you will get a great meal for 1/3 to 1/2 the price you’d pay at your resort where the money is likely going to a foreign investor.

Come and experience this local market. If has all of the smells and sights you’d expect of a market that the locals use. As a tourist you probably won’t buy anything, apart from maybe some fruit or a hot Issan sausage, but this is a place you visit to experience Chewang as a local, not to shop. Come and walk around, you’ll love it.

We ate at the restaurant in the corner which the red colour scheme. Our host was very nice and accommodating. The food was delicious, I had green curry with rice (not so spicy). The bill was really cheap to boot.

Great area to eat, walk around and choose your type of food in the centre of Chewang. Food is cheap and good, we ate here a couple of times and enjoyed it.

My wife and I visited this market to buy cloth and have a look around. To buy Thai cloth, trinkets, etc, it is definitely much cheaper than the various night markets and other places around Koh Samui. Also, it appears to be an authentic market where the locals shop for their supplies. It did not once occur to me to buy any food from any of the vendors, as it was too authentic for my liking, with the cleanliness not being of a standard I'd expect. However, to see a real market and spend an hour or two mingling with the locals, it is worth a visit, especially given its immediate proximity to the boxing stadium and walking street/food market in Chaweng
