Attended a creative writing course today at Castle Park Arts Centre. Easy to get to by car, largish car park (free) with just a short walk to the centre through the grounds of what was once a very handsome private house. There is a lift for users of the centre who have reduced mobility. Has a small cafe area selling... More

We love going here with our puppy. There's lots of open space for her to play (and chase squirrels) but it's also a lovely environment for us to enjoy with the beautiful old house, the walled garden and the views from the top of the hill. There's a great adventure playground if you're visiting with children, and the Castle Arts... More

I would recommend a visit to this wonderful little park, tucked away in the heart of Frodsham. There are formal gardens, some open spaces, very well stocked with plants and a great selection of trees, Some are 200 years old. There are play areas for children of all ages, tennis courts, running track..... Cafe, pavilion, art and craft gallery. Very... More

Took my lil boy (2 years) to castle park. Played in sand at park and on slide. We had taken birds nuts to feed the squirrels. Had a lovely walk through trees feeding squirrels who came really close! Following the path we came to tennis courts, basketball courts and large playing field. Also zip wire and other stuff for older... More

Lovely Park full of things to do. There is a small kids play area and a slightly older kids section higher up on the upper fields. Nearby are also some basketball courts and a football pitch. Gardens for the green finger amongst us and an arts centre with exhibitions all through the year. There is a tea room in the... More

I come here everyday with the dog. A lovely place to visit for a walk in all seasons, with a variety of landscapes to enjoy. Not a massive park by any means, but has some lovely vistas over to the Wirral on a clear day,(however now somewhat spoiled by those hideous windmills!) Really nice to see the park being used... Good atmosphere and great facilities. Would be happy to try some of the sporting activities. A bit of history lesson, and a good arts centre for all.

Went to Castle Park and Gardens today as never been before. The park and gardens were lovely. Children really enjoyed the park. The cafe was very poor though. Service was unfriendly and cakes were stale. Decided to have a look around the art galley. However the lady who was sat at the information desk was quite rude and made it... More
