Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful and modern museum. I helps the visitor to better understand the circumstances in which the famous Aleijadinho sculptures were created, centuries ago.

This is a rather unusual museum of art in the Minas Historic Tour, comprising modern art exhibitions like Burle Marx paintings and self portraits, a primitive flat religious art collection, a terrific display of tools and instruments for religious art carvings and church ceiling paintings. You can’t miss the ex/voto exhibition, since you’re in destination of so many miracles!
Just an amazing museu featuring an amazing building!

Museum international level, do not fail to go. I went on a 4th and besides it was free. The part on the lower floor with the works of Aleijadinho in 3D is spectacular.
The museum is close to the church

The Museum was an incredible surprise! We didn't even know about his existence and he complimented the visit to the Basilica and Aleijadinho's works with praise.
In the basement there is the highlight, which is an experience with 3D glasses and total immersion in Aleijadinho's works and life.
Unmissable!
