About
The "Olea Essence" Olive Oil Press is a unique place in the ancient Jewish city of Qatzrin in the Golan Heights. Our Olive Oil Press produces one of the world's best extra virgin olive oils. We also produce 100% Natural Skin Care Products and a 100% Natural EcoOlea Green Cleaning line, all based on our own olives and olive oil. We offer guided tours through our ecological olive oil press and olive oil skin care center. We explain the process starting with olive harvesting through olive oil pressing all the way to olive oil based fully natural skin care production. We'll explain you how we recycle the olive press's residue into fully natural cleaning products. The tour includes a short film and finishes with a gourmet tasting of our different flavors of extra virgin olive oil and a visit to our shop selling our famous olive oils and Olea Essence Natural Cosmetics. The farm's olive orchards are spread along the North shore of the Sea of Galilee in the ancient villages of Migdal (Magdale), Tabha, Beit Saida, Capernaum and the Western slopes of the Golan Heights. Our olive trees are grown in an organic and sustainable way and our olive oil is organic and kosher. We're looking forward to show you around! Activities: - Welcome presentation - Short Movie - "Behind the Scenes" tour to our ecological olive oil press and laboratories - Demonstration of Eco Olea, green cleaning - Gourmet tasting of our extra virgin olive oils - Try all our olive oil based, natural cosmetics

I visited the store while on pilgrimage to Israel and it was fascinating. I love the products although they are expensive for a locally produced commodity. My problem came with online service once I came home. I ordered 3 items, they took payment on my credit card and then sent nothing. Their customer service does not respond and I cannot take my case to the owner because they block communication. So I caution you not to order via their website. I lost $196 US. So very disappointed!

I have travelled with few members of my family and a tour guide. Olea Essence was unplanned stop, offered at the last minute by our tour guide. We bought few small containers of garlic infused oil, which was very good. I am planning to order it on line. The other most important gift I purchased, was a cream from psoriasis (rehabilitation skin cream) for my father-in-law. I didn't put much hope into it, until we arrived back and he tried it. He is older gentleman, and has been struggling with psoriasis for a long time. It actually made a difference and he use it all the time. I even ordered more online together with a shower gel. The service at the shop was very good. We have tried all types of oil. My next order for sure will be garlic infused oil( very settle aroma, not to strong in comparison to others I've tried before), maybe other types, and for sure I want to try hair serum with silk protein. The international shipping came with no issues, and packaged well. Too bad we didn't have enough time to tour the facility. Hopefully next time we visit Israel!

It was my first time visiting Olea Essence. Amazed by the warmth welcome of the staff made us feel at home. Walking us through how the olive oil was processed. It was an awesome experience knowing so much about the quality of olives from cooking to cosmetic and personal care. Tried some of their products and find is amazing and effective after a week of try, my skin texture improves. It gives that supple feeling and glow. So far, I have tried their Olive Wash & Exfoliate, face serum for dry skin, face nourishing night cream and body milk. Is excellent and pleased with it. Value for money. Thumbs up to their staffs too for their friendliness and sincerely answering all questions asked by my group.

14NIS (approx. $3.60 USD) for an English olive oil tour
We were not there at the time a tour was being offered however the young lady at the counter (head straight back from the entrance door) was very helpful with providing us with detailed information regarding how olive oil is made and allowed us to try a few varieties.
There is also a rather large area of cosmetics and a lady to answer your questions regarding cosmetics and will assist you if your interested in trying some.

Very interesting to learn about olive oil and see new uses. The tree in the entryway is 800 years old and the wheel press is 2000 years old. A short movie explained the uses and byproducts of the oil.
Walked through the family run factory and then sampled olive oils, spices and beauty products afterwards. The za'atar and paprika were delicious. The face and body scrub kept our skin so soft throughout the day. Thanks to Marianna for a very special family tour.

This was stop along the way on our tour and I am so glad we stopped! We were able to watch a film of how they learned to make the most use of the olive wastes. They also helped us sample their delicious olive oil and other seasonings. I purchased several bottles of Olive Oil and their scrub and seasonings. I loved this place!

Our group really enjoyed visiting the facility of Olea Essence in Katzrin. The tour of the Olive oil company was informative and a number of us learned quite a bit about olive oil. The tour does not take a long, probably around 3o minutes which includes a short movie. There is a nice gift shop for their olive oil products.
The presentation was very well done. Well worth the stop.

This visit was worth 5 stars just because of our superb guide/host for the visit, named Zen - a charming, witty, and knowledgeable young lady, originally from Botswana. She talked us through the olive oil production process, then we had the chance to taste half a dozen types of oil they made, as well as various cosmetic products.

This is the headquarters and visiting center of an olive press company which focused its efforts on production of natural cosmetics using the "waste" byproduct of this process .
Our visit was pleasant and fairly interesting. There was a nice presentation and a short movie showing company's philosophy. Brief " hands on" trial of olive-derived gooey black substance which we were encouraged to apply on our hands was fun. That was followed by olive oil tasting. We ended up buying a combo of olive oil and Israeli spices. Many ladies bought cosmetics but I found them a bit expensive.
The company assures their cosmetics consists supposedly of nothing but natural ingredients.
Overall I liked this stop on our tour because they did not go overboard with undue sales pressure which tends to completely spoil such destinations for me.

Great place! Informative, interesting and short film followed by hand wash with olive paste (it makes your skin super soft!). And then you get to taste five different olive oil (they give you bread to dip!) plus introduction to cosmetics.
I am sure you guys know that a lot of olive oil sold in Israel is not the best in quality. I highly suggest you buy it here (or at the airport).
It's hard to find Extra Virgin Olive Oil with acidity of 0.4%. Very happy with my purchase! Get the one with black seal if you don't want to bitter aftertaste. I bought Tabha (gold seal: made with pittied olive) to drink a small portion every day for its health benefits but for cooking, I suggest the black seal!
