Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Interesting trip. Guide is provided via WiFi on your smartphone. Provides history of the caves and you can see how the mushroom industry evolved. There’s a little shop where you can buy their mushrooms and a cafe restaurant.

Very interesting, good visual displays and the usual written information boards dotted throughout the caves. They also have an information booklet in English available at the entrance. Small cafe offering lite snacks Well worth a visit.

This is a cute little museum that'll tell you all you need to know about mushrooms. Certainly worth a 45 minute stop if you go in with realistic expectations. It is a bit chilly in the caves (as you'd expect).

A very interesting living museum of mushroom production which is part of a working mushroom production site. 500m within the caves - it's very cool inside so you may need an extra layer. Lots of detailed and interesting information about the culture of mushrooms but it's almost all in French. However there is an app you can download that may give information in English (I didn't try it so can't be sure).

This includes the history of the caves: mining of limestone blocks, pre-historic habitation, and discovery of fossil ammonites, as well as a display of the history of mushroom growing.

Extremely interesting caves where mushrooms are actively farmed, alongside displays of the history, and explanation of all the details of this fascinating agriculture.

This place has great potential but does not li v e up to it. The "muse eum" is basicly a large cave with a few mushrooms growing. The explnations are only in french. Finally not really wor t h goung and quite expensive as well.

So after a few days of chateaus we thought a good change of pace was in order. We found out about this place from Rick Steves' guidebook. It sounded interesting and with all the caves around figured we would enjoy one without wine. We all love champignons so we were excited to visit.
Be aware the cave entrance is a steep walk up from the parking lot. There is a narrow road you can use to drop off people who can't walk far.
Once inside, ask for the English translation - all signs are in French, so if you don't understand French, you will miss out on the explanations. They walk through how mushroom farming works which just isn't all that complicated or interesting. You do get to see a number of different types growing.
The caves are large with multiple rooms. We expected acres of mushrooms being cultivated, but were surprised that while they harvest 30 kilos a day, there's room for a lot more.
Overall it was ok. Took perhaps 30 minutes to walk slowly through. Nothing bad, just an experience.

The mushroom farm still in operation opens its cellars to the visit, entrance a little expensive but with such a quality of presentation and site it is bearable. The path of visit is very well made with its troglodyte rooms of the most beautiful effect: with games of light, objects presented, old tools , current tools , explanatory panels, mode of production and especially the mushrooms produced: mushrooms of Paris, Mushrooms gray, yellow, pink, as well as Shiitakés. The colors are amazing and it is very beautiful and photogenic, the children also appreciate. The journey is quite long and you get value for your money. Possibility to buy in store on the end (all fresh mushrooms, mushroom products and local products), a restaurant also available
