I had no idea I would enjoy a tea tour so much! We had a group of seven - went on the early bird tour- and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Merle, our guide, spoiled us with his plethora of knowledge...he was so very kind! We...More
I thought I knew tea, until I came here! A short walk through the gardens to see how tea is grown, and peppercorns, and cinnamon, and jackfruit, and hibiscus, to sit down for a cuppa and some cake. Then a tour of the fascinating factory...More
We visited the plantation and tea factory in September 2018. If you can't make it up to the highland regions, this spot is worth a visit. Lovely walk through the grounds included tea and cake followed by a walk through their small factory. A great...More
We were shown around the plantation by an informative guide, served tea and cake at the homestead which was relaxing, then shown through the tea factory and to the gift shop at the end where you could try all sorts of teas. The whole thing...More
Really wanted to visit a tea plantation not too far from Bentota. Far exceeded my expectations. The people were so kind, patient, informative - and not obviously interested in your money, so unlike the culture I am used to. The guide showed us through the...More
I didn’t initially expect to enjoy this visit to the tea plantation and joined my family to check it out.

It is a free tour although you have the option to leave a small token in the tea tasting room. It is a very pleasant stroll to the tea house, where along the way they also show you collecting sap from rubber trees. The view...More

Like I said you should be flexible when you know that visitors are coming. The traffic conditions are tough now and your staff should not keep calling and saying that they have to go off so please make it before 4:30. That was so dissapointing, at least with a greeting on arrival and a small explanation that its too late for a tour of the estate would be nice, then they could at least show the guest a brief tour of the productuon area and bungalore will be a memorable one isnt it. Its all about being service oriented and caring that makes you top of your game. We as guides see the good and the bad of services around Sri Lanka, and just hope that Sri Lanka brings back that always smiling people service back that we are seeming to loose slowly and surely.
No worries will try once again to visit your estate with other clients again. Thanks for your feed back and Good luck for the future. My regards, Tony.
