We took a tour of the park with Lahiru Prasad which was amazing from start to finish! The park is huge so having a guide in addition to a driver really helps - although we are baffled by how easily Lahiru was able to spot...More

We took our children (aged 10 and 12) to the park and used Lahiru as a guide based on recommendations from here. Based on previous experience we prefer to use nature guides when visiting forests etc as even though we are interested in wildlife we...More

We booked a tour with Lahiru Prasad based on the recommendations on TripAdvisor. This was easy to organise the day before our tour by text to Lahiru. A successful safari with pick-up from our hotel in Tangalle and a careful driver to the start of...More

The nature reserve is a large area around an artificial reservoir created by a 4km dam, meaning there is a large lake, even in the dry season. Visit is by jeep safari. Our driver was good at spotting all the wildlife and knew the names...More

Today, we had the privilege to get a tour with Lahira, 00 94 71 483 6490, and his skilled driver. Originally, we simply wanted to accept our hotel's offer for a jeep. Only driver, no guide. "You don't need a guide", wr have been told....More

A must visit! We saw countless elephants as well as crocodiles, monkeys, birds among other things. It's a great price for what it is and depending on your tour guide/jeep driver you will learn a lot.
