About
Greece's unique Bee Museum was established in 2004 in Rhodes and quickly became one of the best in the world. It aims to present the tradition of Beekeeping in Greece as well as the marvelous world of Bees. When someone arrives at the Bee Museum we offer him Melekouni, the traditional sweet of Rhodes. Among other things, our visitors get the chance to watch bees producing honey in real time, get in touch with all of the bees' products, have fun playing interactive games and buy traditional products and sweet souvenirs.

    Bee-autiful Haven for Bee Lovers!
Such a hidden gem that bee-thusiasts of all ages can appreciate and enjoy.! The grounds of the museum are beautifully tended, with a little park for kids and beautiful selection of flowers for bees in the garden. I never knew of Rhodes' history with beekeeping, and I loved every moment learning all about it. The local honey and honey rum that you can try are delicious too. Just keep in mind if you're a bit of a nervous driver, the roads to the museum are a little precarious and narrow, but it's 100% worth the visit.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your visit and appreciated the beauty of our grounds. It's fantastic that you learned about Rhodes' beekeeping history and enjoyed our local honey and honey rum. We understand your concern about the roads and appreciate your patience. We hope to welcome you back again soon! Best regards, The team of Bee Museum

Impromptu visit, very informative and great honey for sale.
This was an impromptu add on to a morning trip. It is a small museum, with explanations in Greek and English, in just enough detail to be informative without going over the top. We read most things and it took us about an hour to go through. I felt I learned a lot about something I took for granted, and ended up doing more reading about bees and honey after the visit. Reasonably priced honey, produce and gifts are available in the shop. It’s only 4 euro per adult to enter which I felt was good value. You can also visit the shop for the honey without entering the museum.
Dear Visitor , Thank you for sharing your experience! We're glad you found our museum informative and enjoyed exploring the world of bees and honey. It's great to hear you appreciated our reasonable pricing and the option to visit the shop separately. Best regards , The team of Bee Museum.

Very informative, definitely worth a visit
Visited the Bee Museum whilst on holiday in Rhodes. There is plenty of free parking and really easy to find. Staff upon arrival were very informative and the admission is reasonable. The shop is amazing and ended up purchasing 3 large jars of honey to bring home. Never tasted anything as good.
Dear Guest , Thank you for visiting the Bee Museum and for your lovely review! We're delighted to hear that you found our location convenient and our staff helpful. It's wonderful to know you enjoyed our shop and the honey so much that you took some home. We hope to see you again on your next visit to Rhodes! Best regards , The team of Bee Museum

There’s quite a bit of written information about bees but it needed something extra just to liven up the museum. Fascinating stuff nonetheless. Plus you get a free taste of local honey products at the end.

A really interesting museum with lots of information about bees and beekeeping, both past and present. Lots of good information about Bees in general - which was very interesting. Sadly all the interactive elements are not accessible due to covid-19. A nice little shop at the end too.

It is a great place. Very informative, interactive, surprising, cheap to enter (€4 adult, 2.50 senior), nice gift shop. We were able to sample some free traditional dessert and honey liquor. Highly recommended, very close to Rhodes Town

Loved it, really interesting few hours, excellent value at only €2 for adults. Tasting of honey, sweets, honey rum and liquor. Beauty products and bee jewellery all handmade. Definite give this a go, something for adults and kids.

Very educative and interesting, you get to appreciate bees so much! Extremely nice work inside the museum and a unique architecture on the ceiling! You feel as if you have just entered a gigantic bee hive. Finding the queen among the bees in the glass hive was so much fun(and quite a challenge indeed)! The shop is a great opportunity to get pure Greek honey (this honey brand was internationally awarded for its taste - and not without reason, yummy!) in very good prices compared to touristic shops in the city and airport. Definitely try out the melekouni, it's super healthy and delicious (got myself loads for Holland). Also an incredible variety of honey based products from food to cosmetics to clothing. Make sure you pay a visit!

We had planned to go there as I'm interested in keeping bees already. Found it very informative and could even get the hubby excited. The little shop, where you can buy honey, cosmetics and other products, had reasonable prices and different tasters. We found it very informative as you get to see real bees in a glass hive, could try on a bee-keepers uniform and learned about the history of bee keeping on Rhodes. The tables and projectors seemed to indicate that they do proper presentations (perhaps for groups?). Entrance fee was 2,50€, which we thought were well spent.
P.S. even clean bathroom with toilet paper!
