Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fırtına Deresi (Fırtına Creek) is a river running down to the Black Sea near Ardeşen about 50km from the city of Rize. The name roughly translates as storm creek. The river tumbles over rapids in a steep-sided green valley for many kilometres, from highland pastures to tea plantations.
There are several picturesque Ottoman-era bridges and beautiful mountain view. Adrenaline seekers are well catered for with rafting, zip wires, high swings and a cable car.
Many hours can be spent driving and walking in this valley. There are many parking places. Several restaurants are alongside the river.
Zil Castle is reached by following the riverside road.

Tsimvat Bridge or "Ottoman Bridge",
With stone Ottoman design
It was built in the eighteenth century AD, and its height is about 33 meters. In addition, it is considered one of the very popular shrines of Ayder. In addition to its architectural and historical importance, many people visit it to enjoy the charming nature surrounding it and the river located below it.

Along the route, which lasts approximately 23 km, the bed of the stream is very stony and there are places with a difficulty level of 3 - 4 - 5 depending on the flow of water. Caution should be taken during heavy rains. Fırtına Creek is suitable for river sports all year round.

Rize and its Firtina River are a great attraction to adventure seekers, mainly rafting and trekking. Me, I only visited some of the 20 arched stone-bridges dating back to Ottoman times. I particularly liked the oldest one, Senyuva Bridge that was built late 17th century. All bridges have remarkably high arches ; this would indicate that the Firtina can rise substantially during the rainy season.
The combination of beautiful nature, green valley and historic bridges, makes for some great photography.

An excellent place for Rafting with family during summer. Travel along the Firtina river and you will find number of clubs offering Rafting services. If you have kids they can take you to a relatively easy patch. We enjoyed a lot and kids had wonderful time. It costed me 50 TL per person during August 2015. Its almost an hour trip and in the end you have the opportunity to swim in the river. Recommended for all those who are looking for a fun with kids.

Fırtına or Peruma is one of the main water streams of Rize Province in the eastern Black Sea Region of Turkey. Its name is Turkish for "storm water". There is a group of more than 20 well-preserved Ottoman-era bridges over the Fırtına Deresi.
Many old tombs dated over 100-200 years in this area. A great spot to take photos for the bridge with a musical sounds of water.

I will be visiting with my family (total 04, all adults) in July-020; where should we stay? Is public transport available or taxi is the only mean of commute? How is to best utilise the stay?

‘Dolmush’ which is a common public transport minivan will be available to all sites except for very remote places. There are many authentic hotels you will find. Try to negotiate for the price at the beginning.
