Many believe this was the very first seat of Christian learning, long before Canterbury was ever mentioned, and judging by the standing stones and the history inside who can say otherwise? A truly fascinating yet humble little church.

I grew up in Llantwit Major and I've always loved St Illtyds Church. A beautiful historic church with such a peaceful atmosphere. My daughter got married there and we couldn't have asked for a location more gorgeous. Wonderful and well worth a visit.

A lovely old church, a must visit. Then area is a lovely walk on the edge of Llantwit Major . I like to sit in the church and gather my thoughts and remember loved ones.

A beautiful church with a wealth of ancient headstones and history. Built in a depression out of the sight of marauding Scandinavian pirates.
