Went here for a walk with my kids and we all loved it from the adventure wooden play park to the walk itself and the waterfalls. You can do a full circle right round but unfortunately we ran out of time but will def be visiting again especially with a picnic!

Unfortunately for us - the falls weren't at full flow when we visited but the walkways and wildlife guidance improve every time we visit

Whilst staying at New Lanark Mill hotel we walked to the Falls of Clyde. The river was low so the Falls weren't at their best but still a lovely walk. Occasionally the boardwalk can be flooded so need to walk a different route.

One of the most beautiful spots I have ever seen! Next time I'm coming back in summer to spend more time outside.

From New Lanark to the falls is walk kids can manage their is a bit of an incline so avoid if you are not too fit or have mobility issues. It is great to see and experience some nature. If you visit April the peregrine falcons nest across to gorge a little further past the falls.

At this time of year the river is in spate and the Falls are wonderful. There is a circular walk - cross the bridge above Bonnington linn, then down the other side to Kirkfield bank, then back up the Clyde Walkway. Allow 4 or 5 hours. The cafe at New Lanark Mill pantry will make sandwiches for a packed lunch

Take a walk up the Falls when you go to New Lanark. This is a haven for wildlife and the water is just magical to look at.

We walked along the Clyde from New Lanark to the reservoir and a bit over the other side of the bridge. Its worth noting there is no return access to New Lanark from the other side, there is a sign telling you. Its an interesting walk if you are lucky you might see the heron waiting on some fish!
