Easy parking and a one minutes walk to the view. You can see different types of rock, Móberg and Basalt lava from different time periods.

If, like us, you decide to drive around the island, you'll probably end up driving by here. Our first night's lodging was very close to here, so it was impossible to avoid. While nice, it's no where close to many of the other attractions in...More

This place is on the Snaefellsness peninsula and it so amazing to see. Basalt cliffs, intense rock formations, sea stacks...all in one place. The view up or down the coast from the lookout is just awe-inspiring!!

Wonderful views out to sea at this vista point. Stopped to get some photos. Just a short walk from the carpark to the top of a short hill.

Amazing views and great photo opportunities! A hike to get to these rock formations but definitely worth it! Had an amazing time and very happy to see such beautiful wonders!

Approaching this by road, you think you are looking at the ruin of a man-made castle. Getting closer you realize you are seeing two huge volcanic basalt towers more than 50 meters high jutting out of the sea. Short walks take you to the towers...More

The beauty of this place was incredible. Go see it for yourself. You can't even imagine how beautiful it is. It's worth the long drive. It's worth flying to Iceland for all by itself.

It is on the entry to the Snafellsjokull National Park peninsula. A short walk to see this breathtaking view. It is windy and we had rain, but who cares with this scenery...

Wow, to see the coastline and cliffs is simply stunning. We only had time to walk to the overlooks. There is a hike to the Malariff lighthouse from here, but we drove it since we were short on time. Definitely worth the stop!

The cliff itself is very impressive from some distance. But we got caught by bad weather and we were not brave enough to walk closer...ecause the wind was very strong and the path wasn't secured enough. Well...maybe we are just cowards. Anyway, easy to park...More

Rock pinnacles on the southern coast of Snaefellsnes peninsula. Stunning view between Malarrif and Hellnar. There is a visitor center and path to the coast. The hike is not difficult along the coast and bird cliffs can be seen.

Simply stunning stop-over. When we arrived it was cold and raining but by the time we were leaving it was hot and sunny. There is a nice walk around the coast and the lighthouse and you can also enjoy rich wildlife (even though we didn’t...More
