Wonderful experience. You will certainly understand about gold mining in the Yukon. The tour includes a visit to a roadhouse museum, active mining sites, and wraps up with gold panning. The guide, Oliver, was patient and a great gold panning instructor. Rubber boots are provided...More

Hedley is small but there are places to stay and I hear they plan to put in a golf course. The big building in town houses all the historical stories and is where you take the tour UP to the Mascot mine....fabulous! Early in the...More

Learned it was closed upon arrival in Hedley. Very disappointed as the first leg of our trip was focused on this mine. Mislead.

Fantastic view of the Similkameen Valley. Excellent tour with a fun guide. It felt like there are about 1 million stairs to climb in the end.

This was my second experience up at the mine. My first visit was just after it opened, and I was amazed then, and still am, at the ingenuity of actually building a fully serviced mine so high up and precariously perched on the side of...More

A 45 minute bus ride took us up nearly a kilometer above the village of Hedley, BC, on a very curvy road ( I think 29 switchbacks). Our tour guides shared some native cultural anecdotes and history as well as mining history in this region....More
