It's worth five minutes to call in to look at this lovely old colonial style theatre with its cast iron seats (bring your own cushions). We just got to see the main area, not behind the scenes.

This colonial theatre is simply beautiful! You can pay a very nominal fee for a tour and our guide was excellent. It is built in Italian style but with local features providing an interesting combination of styles.

They have remodeled the Teatro la Caridad, except for some parts of the ceiling. Also the accustic is awful, yiu hear all the noise in the street. But since I went to see a Ballet "Carmen" it was ok, even with the noise outside.

We were lucky enough to visit during a dance festival. The performance was wonderful and truly enhanced our appreciation of a beautiful theater.
