We have gone to Anguilla for the last 10 years on vacation & Gwen's Reggae Grill has always been the highlight. Due to beach erosion at their old location, they moved to another spot (at much expense to the owners) on Shoal Bay, which has a beautiful beach. Their food is wonderful, the pasta salad & cole slaw is always... More

The view is good. But the food is terrible and the prices are outrageous. Don't complain if you go. I already warned you

We loved Gwen's so much we went twice during our 5 day stay! The first time was a quiet weekday - most of the time we were the only people there. Lovely hammocks right next to the water, beach chairs to eat in, gorgeous beach to enjoy. Fabulous staff. Don't miss it on a Sunday afternoon though! Fun live music... More

Visited on a Sunday. We were charged double the listed menu price for our drinks. The drinks were tooo sweet and waaay too strong. We sat for a bit but were turned off by the number of extremely drunk sunburned tourists staggering about to the music. We were pleased to see a number of very well dressed locals beginning to... You know you are on to a good thing when numerous locals volunteer the same recommendation, and Gwen's is just that classic beach shack, reggae feel. It would rate an "excellent" based on the feel, view, and the beers on the beach. But the food is the absolute standout. WOW. Smokey, delicious, goodness. And who knew that colelaw could be... More

What a fun place - we went on a Sunday afternoon when the Scratch Band was playing - great Reggae band. Locals and tourists were mixing and dancing - it was a great vibe. We had a fantastic time. Gwen is super friendly and I can't wait to go back on my next trip to Anguilla!

We love reggae music...that's why it was odd that Gwen's Reggae Bar didn't have any playing. We heard later that they have live reggae on Sundays - that's cool. Does that mean that you can't play recorded reggae over speakers the other days? We rented a car to get there and then paid $45 for 2 beers (the Corona light... More

Two reasons why I love Gwen's: 1. The view is incredible. I don't know what it is, but the water looks prettier in this cove than anywhere else on the island (even though the beach is pretty much nonexistent). 2. You can grab a hammock (if they aren't set our already) and chill between palm trees watching the amazing view.... More
