I've driven on by many times but made the decision to stop in to look around. I wasn't disappointed. I am no novice (let alone expert) on the things of nature so my attitude was to look, see, walk and enjoy. There are two car-parks,...More

A site I've known for a few years, the walk from the car park nearest Masham (southern) around the perimeter is productive in spring for wild flowers and later in summer (on warm days!) for butterflies and dragonflies. However, the day I visited, I parked...More

Stopped off today for a walk around the wetlands with our little dog (on the lead all the time), never saw another soul and not much wildlife at this time of year

Beautifully laid-out wetlands and woodland areas with loads of birds and wild flowers to see. Very peaceful and enjoyable. Only minor downside is the lack of toilets if you're there for some time.

We have visited this attraction twice now and it was definitely better the second time. It seems to be bedding in nicely and hopefully will settle into a lovely area for wildlife.

Especially if you like animal watching. I saw some of the species of birds, king fisher, pheasant, etc. Saw some other animals as well, common frog, weasel, rabbits. It's a great day out for everyone
