A small beautiful castle so worth a visit. The inside is amazing and the grounds spectacular. When we visited they were just de-winterizing the grounds but they did turn on the fountain for us for a few minutes. What a memory!

It is a small castle built by King Ludwig II. You should do a visit inside the castle. It's a guided tour (also in Romanian language). The rooms are so impressive, i loved every single room. The garden is fantastic and the view from upstairs...More

I have been to palaces all over Europe, including Versailles, and this was my favorite! I almost didn’t go because the grotto was closed, but so worth it! The details and extravagance in every room is incredible! It’s very small which I liked because it...More

We visited 8 different palaces and castles as part of our Bavaria trip but Linderhof palace was my favourite.Small, compact and very tastefully decorated rooms and grounds. I wish grotto was open to visit. That would be cherry on the top of the cake.

A small castle built by King Ludwig II but worth the visit. A small guided tour of 25 min takes you through the castle and all the rooms...lovely interiors I would say. Outside looks is also great. The backside fountains were being renovated so we...More

Booked though Viator/operated by Grayline tours. First stop on the Linderhof Newschwanstein tour. This was the only palace Ludwig II finished and stayed in for 7 years (one of several palaces he conceived) . Beautiful palace and grounds. Great entertaining guided tour by castle staff....More

Booked onto the 1610 tour of the castle, our guide was knowledgeable, passionate and friendly. He could easily answer any questions our group had. You are gradually taken through several of the rooms including the King’s apartments, the throne room and his dining room with...More

This remote small castle is worth to visit. The park is refreshing especially in hot days. Entrance fees is reasonable and you get a 30 minutes tour with a guide. No time is granted for question, the tour is quick and straight to the point....More

We hit Linderhof about 2 hours before closing time, which was absolutely perfect! We got right in on a tour with no wait and were able to take pictures with virtually no people in them afterward. The tour experience is a far cry from the...More

I would go with the Prague castle. Linderoff with all its glory truly was a hunting lodge. The tour itself is no more than 45 minutes. It is unique but you probably could take more in if you just focused your time in Prague... More
