Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The temple is located right next to the bridgehead into the center of the old town of Pakse city. The pagoda was built with the typical architecture of Lao people's culture. A large temple with a quiet space on the banks of the peaceful Sedon River.

All the photos I had seen of this temple made me think it was a must do. Yet when I got there I saw a temple that wasn't taken care of, and it was closed as well.

Nice temple within reach of any hotel in center city Pakse. Does not require modest wear but there are a lot of monks that reside here so I felt guilty wearing a tank top, based on what I know about covering shoulders in temple settings. Next time I would bring a scarf or long shirt to show more respect. Worth a visit for sure.

Wat Luang Temple is by far the most beautiful and interesting Wat in Pakse. Lots of great photo opportunities. Well worth a hour or so of your time taking a stroll around the temple grounds.

Wat Luang Temple was really the only sightseeing we did. It is a typical temple that didn’t have anything unique. Some of the murals in the main hall were worth a look.

Characteristically multi-coloured, and frequently redecorated , this Wat was built on the banks of the Xe Don river, close to the road bridge leading to the airport.
As with many Wat- it is difficult to identify just how old the building isc- however i would guess that Wat Luang is at least 200 years old, although there is a commemorative stone with an inscription (in French ) and the date 1910.
Interesting Wat with colourful and imaginative features, which I was unable to interpret.
Not a tourist attraction but a significant religious site, used constantly by the towns people.
