Taiping War Cemetery was created by the Army after the defeat of Japan for the reception of graves brought from the battlefields, from numerous temporary burial grounds, and from village and other civil cemeteries where permanent maintenance would not be possible. There are separate entrances to the two parts, the plots of Christian graves lying on the south-eastern side of the road and the Muslim and Gurkha graves on the opposite side. In the Muslim and Gurkha section the Stone of Remembrance stands in front of a high bank which forms the north-western boundary. The two small shelters in the cemetery have been constructed of local stone, and a low stone wall flanks the road on each side.

WW2 memorial cemetery, and that's all. No information or other note on site. Locate on the way to Bukit Larut.

Located a bit far off the lake but still easy accesible. I prefer for them to have a wall of info about the history back then.

A very well maintained cemetery for the young men who fought for their queen and country in the colony of Malaya. My father used to be in charge of the cemetery before he migrated. He cleaned it up and organized dignitaries to visit, honour and respect those fallen.

Very well kept, no litter or rubbish around. If you visit any War Grave the feeling of what is/was owed to so many men and women from all over the Commonwealth hits very hard. Tiaping is no exception. Please pay a visit and say a prayer of thanks.

Its worth visiting if u happen to be in the area.It gives a better understanding of what happen during WW2.Its interesting to note, a good 80% of the headstones are without their names. The different section represents their respective faith/religion.

Unless you are a die-hard history buff or have ancestral relations buried here, not much to see except tombstones of those who perished in WW2. But is good for quiet walk and self-reflection
