An old well keep church from the 1800. Not too far from Cayo Santa Maria, a good stop on the way to Santa Clara.

Despite the rain managed to come to this magnificent church with a lot of history. The ceiling of the church looked like a ship that was really awesome.

First, being from a young country like Canada to go to a village established in 1515 is mind blowing. Stepping into a Catholic Church built in the early 1700's with all the original wood work, flooring, ceiling and statues is aweinspiring. The 24K gold leaf...More

This church is amazing, gold alters brought by the Spanish. Oldest church in Cuba, held in pristine condition by the people of Remedios. Worth the visit to see

Went on this tour in February 2018. It was interesting. Don't forget to take some $$ to leave. Also if you take clothes etc to give away, this a good place to do it as the church will distribute them to the needy for you....More

This church is beautiful and feels like it’s caught in time. It’s really well maintained and I would recommend it for all tourists, not just those that are religious. You are allowed to take pictures and has rich history.

Nice historical cuban christian catholic church. Art works are impressive. Our guide in Remedios , his natal town, friendly guy. I took that touristic turn with Transtur. Included a Santa Clara, town where Che Guevarra is burried. Historical tour, you can enjoy cuban culture.

Always great to get out of the resort and see the real Cuba. This church has a 22k gold relief and ceiling authentic to the 17th century (if i remember correctly). It was a stop on a larger excursion where we were able to visit...More

If you are flying with Sunwing they usually sell tours en route to Cuba. There are also a few tour operators rep at the hotel. We brought toiletries ( toothpaste, toothbrush, cheap make up) and they were very appreciative.

Yes you can. Most hotels would have rentals. Just make sure you read the fine print carefully. Otherwise there is a group tour that doesn't cost much and will drive you everywhere.
