We have been coming to Cyprus Lake for over 35 years. It has gotten crazy busy in the summer so we decided to try coming the last weekend of the season. We also tried staying in a Yurt for the first time. It was a great experience. The yurt was clean, quick to heat with the wood stove, close to... More

On arrival in the evening, the lady was helpful in getting us checked in and explaining where to go etc. The site was nicely secluded with trees and perfect for the night. The toilets were a short walk. It had no lighting which made it difficult to use! The toilets were pretty gross and stank, could've done with a bit... More

At the beginning of our family's long-awaited vacation at the Cyprus Lake campground, I was not cautious enough and broke an ankle while walking on a rocky trail. As a result, my mobility became very limited; crutches and an aircast needed to be used all the time. Visiting a washroom became complicated, and the only one suitable for people like... More

We camped in the park late August and enjoyed the visit although next time, since we like kayaking, we would ensure that we had a site on the water. Toting the kayaks from just two rows over became tiring. Best lake to enjoy tossing the ball or Frisbee as the sandbar goes out far all around the shores of this... More

This campground was fantastic. It was nice and wooded and we had a large site. We stayed in the poplars area at site number 151. The lake itself is amazing, with crystal-clear water. It is very shallow which would be helpful for young children, but my older kids enjoyed swimming and boating as well. We also saw lots of wildlife–... More

If you had visited some years ago, the volumes of visitors has really shot up and affected the experience. According to the local paper, more than 1800 cars were turned away at Cyprus Lake by early Saturday afternoon on the Canada Day weekend! It's got to the point that many won't even try to get in except on weekdays or... More

This is a beautiful clear water lake with small beach areas and a hiking trail around it. It is estimated to take around two hours for the entire loop. I also saw people canoeing and kayaking in the lake.

If you will be spending time in the Tobermory area, this is quite a beautiful spot to camp. Easy access to many hidden natural gems and all the big ones as well.

Love camping here! have for almost 30 years! they have almost 300 sites that book up really quick and cater to small tents all the way up to 27 foot trailers and larger groups. Great value as well.

Although there is not much of a beach, we found somewhere to spend our afternoon after visiting Grotto and Indian Head Cove. Offers nice warm swimming especially for families with little children. Nice and quiet if you want to stay away from busy Grotto and tons of visitors
