This popular resort of hot sulphurous water is located six miles south- southwest of the town of Coamo on the eastern edge of the river of that name. It is the only of its kind in Puerto Rico . Legend says that these springs are the Fountain of Youth Don Juan Ponce de Leon sought. According to that same legend, the Puerto Ricans Indians told this that source " lay well west " for which he sailed to foreign lands in search . Thus accidentally discovered Florida , where he eventually met his death not suspicious the fountain of youth that had sought the " west " , but in his beloved Puerto Rico .

Relaxing time spent, mostly with locals. But a few tourists like us. Saw a large but harmless iguana patrolling the grounds. Nice and quiet at about six in the evening.

Been coming here since I was a little boy. It has been transformed in to an outdoor spa. Do not leave Coamo without going here! Its charm will captivate you.
