An architectural feast
Oct. 2019
Palacio De Gaudi is an architectural feast, wonderfully maintained. The optional tablet, with its audio and video, is well worth the extra Euro.

Art Nouveau meets Gothic
Feb. 2020
Like many Gaudí buildings, the Palacio de Gaudí in Astorga is best savored from all angles. In our case, we lacked were unable to go inside, but we covered as much as possible of the exterior, which was astounding. It resembles a Gothic castle, as interpreted by Walt Disney.

Gaudí was the architect and oversaw early parts of the construction (1889-93), and others supervised the construction until the building was completed in 1913.

Architectural jewel, part of Gaudi's legacy
Feb. 2020
A beautiful building with the seal of the great Catalan architect, built originally for the bishop, nowadays open to the public. A must see when visiting Astorga.

Well worth the visit!
Oct. 2019
Gaudi designed this palace for the bishop. It is now a museum. The grounds, just above the old city walls, are peaceful and overlook the city. Walking thru any structure designed by Gaudi is a unique treat. It was well worth a visit.

Great place to visit
Oct. 2019
The Bishop's Palace was my introduction to Gaudi, and it was very impressive. There is a bit of ground around the building with some interesting sculpture and a nice view, but the interior of the building is the most impressive. It is well worth up to an hour of one's time to see all the floors and admire the stained glass windows.

Spectacular Gaudi designed building
Sep. 2019
Worth the price if you are a Gaudi fan as we are. This former Bishop's Palace is spectacular inside and out. Make sure to visit all the floors and the crypt.

Exquisite

We spent a few hours slowly walking around the inside and outside of this beautiful building - there is so much to see and take in, so much detail in the construction, and the natural light inside shows off Gaudi's incredible talent.

Gaudi
Sep. 2019
Visited the bishops palace expecting to see an exhibition of the camino. Never the less i enjoyed visiting this building. Gaudi is an unusual artist and this city has a long history. Nicely organised exhibition.

I loved even the outside of this as we approached
Aug. 2019
Beautiful stained glass windows inside! In many historical places, the decorations are carved wood but here, the decoration on the columns are decorative clay trims.
