The chatteau is nice however even going on tour you only see a few rooms on the inside, would have liked to explore all. The grounds are well kept and staff are friendly

The only way to really see things is to take the guided tour. I got there a couple minutes after the last guided tour started and walked the grounds. It is certainly nice, but with no signage you don’t really know what you’re seeing.

A beautiful little castle with a grand driveway and lovely French garden. I was a little disappointed with the grounds at the back since they were just fields and trees, but the private tour of the chateau made up for it. Luckily since there were...More

Website states that the chateau was open from 10.45 until 6pm. This is totally inaccurate. You can only have access if you take a guided tour (not mentioned). These tours take place only 2-3 times a-day. All very misleading.

The Chateau is beautifully maintained, the gardens and grounds perfect and the small number of staff very hard working. It is true that changes to the décor were made under the influence of Forbes the American Billionaire and this has been mentioned by other reviewers,...More

A lovely few hours spent on our way back to Cherbourg. We were lucky enough to have a private tour of the Chateau. Small but interesting, some personal touches by owners but nice to know that it is still used by the family. Don't miss...More

This place is awesome : so much history and architecture in a nut shell. It has inspired the mansion house in Versailles.

Firstly I should admit we didn't go inside the Chateau. We prefer to spend time in the wonderful grounds that often accompany these sorts of places. And to view the buildings from outside. There is plenty of parking opposite the chateau in the town (free)...More

A historic castle in my opinion desacrated by Forbes. If you are rich enough to buy a castle restore it in it's former glory and use those materials which will bring back the splendor of former days. You can see that, beside the garden, that...More

The Chateau and ballon museum are well worth a few hours viewing. There is also a beautiful old church to pop into.

Similar answer: First lots of gravel or pebbles in the alleys leading to the flights of stairs at the entrance of the chateau. No lift or elevator ten inside . The museaux more accessible if you limit yourself to the ground... More
