You had to visit this place in Bredasdorp. The staff are friendly and well informed. This museum are highly recommended. Take rhe kids with.

The Shipwreck museum in Bredasdorp provides visitors with lots of information of the history of the (southern) Overberg area and the adjacent oceans.

The staff was friendly and we paid to enter, that was the last we saw them...Its very old, but again its a ship wreck museum. We couldn't ask questions as nobody was around to answer questions or explain.

It has great local information and history a definite must see for any visitor, even groups, has often been in the local newspaper with projects, school inclusion and community programs.

Very well maintained (and loved) museum full of shipwreck items, along with a really special house museum and transportation section in the back.

we arrived on a sunday at 12 and where greeted by with a warm friendly gentleman.he was on standby to explain all questions but kept his distance for us to go through the museum
