I’ve been here several times and always find it rather pleasant. It quiet and relaxing. A stroll in the garden on a warm sunny day - perfect.
I recommend visiting the Shipwreck Museum if you get a chance.

The Shipwreck Museum contains a really interesting collection of artefacts. There are very informative descriptions on sheets. The whole museum is very well laid out. Very reasonable entrance fee of R50
The display on shipwrecks concentrates on details on a few wrecks around the Cape. =It was very well done with some poignant reminders. Outside there is an interesting collection of anchors (I'm serious!) and a house that seemed much like those I have seen elsewhere....More
It is worth the while to visit the shipreck museum in Bredasdorp. Actually it is like walking into another world. We enjoyed the old vehicles in the Barns too. Very reasonable entrance fee! Friendly people, 3 hours spent well!
