A long clean beach at the south area of Kalamata. This is not usual for a greek city. You can enjoy your swimming sitting on a cafe, tavern, hotel, even at no store. You pay nothing for the sunbeds and the umbrella.

Great beach, once you get accustomed to the pebbles! But it's everywhere in this region. If you see reviews or descriptions saying "sandy beach" it's a lie. All of the beaches in this region are rocky. But you will bask in the coolness of the...More

Nicky from Climb Up dropped me at the beach. We spent an hour together and I’ll manage to get back to my hotel on my own.

One of the rare occasions that you can swim exactly at the centre of the city. The beach is clean and nice. Of course there are astonishing beaches around but Kalamate beach is a great option.

Positioned in a beach side restaurant you can enjoy the local fare at the same time as dipping into beautiful water.

There are good services, with some restaurants with terraces towards the beach. Also there is a nice place with hammocks. Some of the constructions in the beach are ugly. The beach is ok, but not impressive

Sand and pebbles across the beach! Beach bars or not you can easily find a spot. It seems clear, although it is so close to the harbour and the hotels. Easily accessible from the town of Kalamata. Perfect for a 2-3 day stay, then head...More

Was there for 5 days and the beach was very nice. The waters are very clear and warm. Some waves and small fish . Umbrellas are free . Small pebbles. Would recommend.
