Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An awesome historical place to visit. The design, pattern and build quality with thick wall (around 6 feet) is very soothing for eyes and mind. Even after 400 years it never seemed like an antique product but a well planned recent structure. A must see archeological site to visit at Chapai Nababgonj district of Rajshahi division of Bangladesh.

It's a bit of a trek on the bus from Rajshahi and buses are infrequent, we caught the 7.40am leaving Rajshahi (not from the main bus station, let your rickshaw driver know where you're going and he'll take you to the correct bus stand), and were ready to return at 3pm but the next bus was the last one at 4.40pm. The journey takes up to 3 hours depending on how crazily fast the driver goes, ask the conductor to let you off at the mosque or you'll end up at the border post.
There are various sites and beautiful ancient mosques to visit as well as Chhoto Sona Masjid itself. A little further up the road is the Takhana complex with a palace, mosque and mausoleum, then the ruined Darasbari Mosque and finally Khania Dighi mosque. No official entrance fees but we were encouraged to put an offering in the donation box at each of the working mosques. It's a few km between the first and last but walking is easy enough although dusty with trucks passing by quite often. Eating options are pretty basic so you might want to pack some snacks as well as plenty of water.

It is sometimes said that Bangladesh's greatest architectural achievements were in the area of terracotta. Combining fine terracotta decoration with a solid brick structure, topped with multiple domes, Choto Sona (known by several trans-literations) is one of this country's lovely old mosques. It is best visited from Rajshahi, whose riverside setting makes it arguably one of the country's nicest towns.

It’s at Capai Nobab Ganj, which is 2 hours away from Rajshahi. This place is popular for mangoes. There are mango gardens around this mosque as well. This is historical place and the mosque is really worth a visit! Enjoyed the afternoon there with friends

It was an emotional event for me to watch this important part of history for the first time. It is a great architecture of past commemorating rise of Islam in this region. It also reflects mastery of stone cutting.
