Was driving through town en route to Cap Éternité and stopped for a quick visit. The movie on the area was underwhelming and could have been much better (bigger screen highlighting the beauty of the fjords, flora and fauna, and maybe the bauxite business), and...More

We spent 2 lovely hours here, enjoying the exhibits with our young daughter. The aquarium and touch pool is great, as is the interactive exhibit. A very creative movie in which you "fly" over the Saguenay was the icing on the cake. Everything is well-designed...More

Good introduction to the area and the underwater world that inhabits the fjord. Rooms well set up with things to touch and feel for the kids. Guided tours offered, and they even had good english tours - surprising for the area. A small, but well...More

We learned a lot about the region during two hours here. The displays are packed with interesting information without being overwhelming. I particularly enjoyed being able to touch some of the water life. The young guides, many in the area to improve their French, were...More

From the outside Musee Du Fjord is quite unassuming but don't let that fool you. There's much to see and do on the inside. The interactive multimedia story that unfolds in an auditorium area that looks like the set from Star Trek is very cool...More

Stopped here near the end of a Viking cruise. The museum is very well done. The highlight was a section devoted to a long term demographic study of this part of Quebec. This part of the province, at least, is overwhelmingly Catholic. Using church records,...More

Part of a ships tour, so we just had enough time to see the highlights of this museum. We did do the simulated ride.......it is like you are in a space ship......and it tells the history of the fjord from above and below the water....More

This is probably a good museum for the area, but they present a video in the form of a ride on a space ship. Would probably be good for young kids, but I found it a little weak. The exhibits were nice but the museum...More
