This road has to be one of the prettiest roads I have ever experienced, it ribbons along the coast and through Glen's effortlessly. Truly breath-taking views to boot.

This is an absolutely stunning drive. We did it as part of a day trip to Carnfunnock and it was a lovely day out. Brilliant sunshine and fabulous views right across to Scotland. Pop in to Ballygally Castle hotel for a snack as you pass. A really enjoyable way to spend a few hours.

Drive along much of the coastal route. The views were great ! We really enjoyed it. There are villages to stop and look around along the way.

Took the coast road out of Larne and drove through some of the wee coastal towns and up through all the Glens of Antrim. Absolutely amazing. Stopped at some of the GOT spots. Wonderful trip. Everyone needs to experience it.

They say that familiarity breeds contempt - well at least indifference but the coastal journey from Belfast through Jordans town, Carrickfergus, Whitehead, Glynn, Marne, Drains Bay , Ballygally , Cushendun and Cusdendall never ceases to reenforce the beautiful scenery all along this route and one never tires of drinking in all the marvellous sights - no wonder foreign visitors all... Larne's main attraction is the Coast Road out of Larne, leading to the scenic Glens of Antrim. Larne itself, is a grim, dismal town, recently voted "worst town in Ireland". The True North documentary, "I Love Larne", portrayed the town as a place full of idiots and bible bashers. Larne's main feature is a huge Burger King crown, situated on... More

I've been to many stunning places in the world but this drive still remains my all time favourite. Equally stunning in stormy weather and in the sunshine. Plenty of parking sorts along the way to take a break and go for a wander or to have a picnic. Sometimes dolphins will entertain you and gannets will put on a diving... More

Used to be called the Antrim Coast Road when I was younger. Now "rebranded" as the Causeway Coastal Route. Signed now from Belfast via Carrickfergus to Larne and then north from Larne to the Giants Causeway. The Belfast to Larne section is far from being a coastal route as little of it hugs the shoreline. If you are short of... More
