- very interesting display of original items of all local topics - lovely exposition of traditional clothing - hand- crafts exposition - nice with children - informative movies

It may seem like a small museum but its a good layout with multiple levels offering very interesting exhibits and history on Appenzell.

A bit touristy, but heck, I was one! Bought tons of cheese and learned about the cheese-making process ad the region. In and out in 15 minutes.

If you have a Swiss Rail Pass you can get in for free and it will be worth a brief visit. Most Swiss museums are entertaining and I go to as many as I can. The little ones are perfect for an hour or so...More

This is a real nice provincial museum, showing many different aspects of life in Appenzellerland. We got on free because we stayed more than 3 nights.
