Went in search of the Northern lights ...didn’t find them but had an absolute fabulous time in Saariselka. So much to do if you are active. Snowmobile, snowshoeing, skiing, sauna, reindeer visit, dog sledding. And this resort has a fab toboggan run for the family...More

Best snow conditions, no people, lots of slopes to ride... Rather small ski resort but finaly even better. Amazing weather in April. Snowproof destination with atmosphere that I love. Lapland is the best.More

We are not skiers and went here by local bus. Amazing views with a great cafe at the summit. Great place to people watch with a hot coffee.

You can ask the staff at Muotka to organise a taxi for you (Niina is especially helpful). Ride should cost a little over €30 one way.
