I am so unhappy that you enjoyed the Ghost train, as the vampire slayer, I try my very hardest to be really horrible but you still say lovely things about the trip, you have no idea how sad this makes me. Many thanks Nigel the slayer More

Went on this and the Strathspey railways on the same day and much preferred this route as the journey is continuous compared to the others stopping and starting. The price of a return is cheap for the amount of time on the train. We were lucky to be there on the Dufftown Autumn Whisky festival so got free samples of... More

A great nostalgic rail journey in the heart of whisky country. A great way to spend a couple of hours and longer. Run by lovely, helpful and friendly volunteers. Lots of local information. Really accessible for me and my wheelchair too. While you're at at the lovely old Dufftown station, try to drop into the Buffer Stop - a great... More

This was our second time on the Keith and Dufftown Railway journey. Having two transport mad members in the family they thoroughly enjoyed this, and the little one got to Toot the horn which made his day. The staff were so friendly and helpful and really made this an unforgettable trip for the whole family even our little cocker spaniel.... More

This train is on a unique line that has nothing to do with the main train routes and only runs at weekends. The original use was terminated when Dr Beeching carried out his "cuts". I got the tickets, for the wife & I, at a good price from a promotional site. There was a choice of Dufftown to Keith return,... More

Whisky line train is staffed by volunteers who were all helpful and friendly. As we left Dufftown the train took its time given the opportunity to see the sights. After leaving Keith to return, given the windy conditions we had to make two unscheduled but necessary stops. Staff were very professional in their approach to removing the fallen trees and... More

From the moment you step onto the platform at Keith you're stepping back in time even the tickets are the real deal. On board the train chugging along to Keith was delightful as there are plenty of things to see. Dufftown station is beautiful and many of the original features still remain. Be warned - the town of Dufftown is... More

The train slowly trundles through the beautiful countryside, allowing one to see the sights, where we eventually reached out destination the Glenfiddich Distillery, well worth doing both.
