Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This massive mural 20'x80' depicts the history of Barbados.
It overlooks the historic heritage town of Speightstown and a gorgeous safe swimming beach.
Pierre Spenard, the visionary for this work, runs a grill,L'Attitudes in the shadow of the mural.
Speightsown is a lovely old seaside town.
Worth a visit.

This huge mural painting is 80' long and 20' wide on the wall of Jordan's Supermarket Warehouse - it took 18 months to complete and is absolutely fabulous. A must see, unusual attraction. Artwork at its best

I just don't get it?
With all the talented artists here, I am sure they could white wash over this then paint something far more vibrant, far more representative of the colours of the Caribbean. I don't want to offend the artist but I struggle to like this. I spent an hour bobbing up and down in the sea the other day and I studied it...all I kept thinking was "what a pity the recent Juma fire did not incinerate this"

Just down an alleyway, the mural is hidden. It should be signposted and the area near it cleared. It is extraordinarily 3D in the classic tradition of trompe l'oeil and is a precis of the history of the island. Worth seeing if you are in the area.

I took the local bus for $2 and went to locate this mural. I am glad that I did, it was historically interesting and the views were stunning too. Worth the trip! I did take a few wrong turns, as the lane is not easy to find. However, I took a photo to help anyone wanting to go (see below).

Its worth finding this slightly hidden mural. You'll think youre walking into a restaurant patio, which I guess technically you sort of are, but its OK. Thats the way the alley is setup. Right on the ocean it depicts Speightstown and Barbados history. Go check it out!

Ok close up but you get the best view from the sea. A nice interpretation of Barbados past and current. Overlooks a nice small stretch of beach.
