    Very nicely done exhibits.
Attractive building with small but interesting exhibits on 3 floors. Helpful staff, opening times are worth checking in advance. Not all interactive items working during my visit, but still very interesting telling of local and island history. I especially enjoyed the sugar cane room. Price 30 Barbados dollars for tourists, reduced price for locals I think. My visit was 45minutes to an hour.

    Fascinating local museum
Small and perfectly formed local museum on 3 floors of 300 yr old chandlery trading house. Warm welcome and explanation, really interactive with film, audio, text and sounds/experiential media, exhibits, maps and photographs. Covers history of Barbados formation and colonisation, sugar industry and sea faring trade, with lots of social history stories from local people and families. Very interesting and well worth the visit, which took us just over an hour.
Thank you for your visit and for taking the time to share you experience with us as well as future visitors. We appreciate your detail feedback and hope to welcome you again in the future as we continue to develop the exhibits.

    Happy it has Reopened!
I’m very happy to see that Arlington House Museum has reopened. I have visited many times in the past but unfortunately, those times that I took my students to Speightstown to experience it for themselves, it was closed. Now that it has reopened, I’d like to take some of them as it speaks to a slice of our history that most Bajans do not know about. The museum itself, is interactive, having a series of display stations on the ground floor where you can unhook telephones and listen to old Barbadians speak of their lives. There’s also a gift shop on the ground floor and on the upper levels there is an area where you can watch a video about the formation of the island, engage in other interactive displays and view an old floor map of the island. What I find new and refreshing is that the Museum is hosting activities that invite the public to visit. For example, there was a recent paint and sip and on International Museum Day, they featured local authors.

Made a trip by bus their on Saturday 4th May to visit the museum and it was closed. No signs or notices to say it wouldn't be open at the usual times. Very disappointing.

Very interesting and informative exhibition about the history of Barbados. A very helpful and informative guide. There are many interactive exhibits here and gave a great flavour of the traditions and history of Speightstown and Barbados

Opening hours are flexible so double check or have a plan B. We visited on a Wednesday and despite the opening hours being posted outside( open at 10 a.m) it was still closed at 1.30 pm when we had to leave the area. Shane as it looked really interesting!

This museum has just re-opened prior to a big launch in mid March and is a real treat.

Interactive displays giving the history of Speightstown and Barbados in general. Short films, photographs and a guided tour of the upper floors in an historic building. It covers the slave period, emancipation and the decline and re-development of the area and really brings the place alive.

You'll learn a lot about the place and get a free rum punch!

Still closed despite being advertised as being open. Is it to much to ask that someone could update the website and /or the posters at the house ? Dissapointed
