A small town located by the Rhein. Admire the scenery pausing on a shadowed esplanade or walk up to the castle and church.

As with many here, Breisach was our first port on our amazing Viking cruise up the Rhine. This was our first taste of a small town on the Rhine. It was just lovely strolling through the town and taking in the sights. Lots of great...More

This was the first stop on our Viking River cruise and it was lovely just walking around seeing the views.

After docking, we made our way up the hill to the old town. Very quaint & lovely views over the surrounding countryside.

We stopped here on an Emerald River Cruise. The small town is a lovely place to spend a couple of hours wandering about. Most of the town had to be rebuilt after bombing in the second world war.

Well worth having a stroll around this town. The church on the hill is interesting and was once where a Roman frontier fort was positioned. Much of the town was destroyed in WW2 and has been rebuilt. There are also a couple of town gates...More

Visited as stop on Viking Rhine Cruise. Easy town to stroll through, even up the hill to St. Stephan's church. Church was open for viewing, no photos allowed, but most of the town's shops were closed on Sunday. Very pretty town
