Altea beach is mostly sandy and not too steep into the water. The area is well organised with lots of free parking and plenty of sporting activities to keep you fit as it has various pieces of fitness equipment positioned periodically. In addition there are volleyball nets although I've not seen any beach volleyball games here yet. A wide choice... More

We came over to visit friends so we've been guided around the local area by them. The sea front area has undergone a lot of restoration following storms, and they are making a good job of it..... but I'm not too sure about the cycle track and its location, you could easily stand up after having a coffee or drink... Altea is a lovely town with an absolutely glorious beach. There are some excellent upmarket shops and lots of bars.

Work has been undertaken in the past year. Not the nicest of Costa beaches but a lovely flat area for walking. Shopping area set back from the beach but some shops along the beach front and lovely cafes. Basic children's swings on the beach.

We caught the bus from Benidorm which took under an hour. It was lovely and hot. Palm trees along the sea front. This place was so relaxing. We stopped along the way and would recommend here if you wanted a quieter day x

Having been to Altea several times has not ruined the feeling of returning to one of the most beautiful places in Spain. Altea Beach leaves me breathless every time, and I can not get enough of the changing colours of the sea.

I have had an apartment on line one in CAP Negret for about 15 years and I have always felt its like Saint Tropez with its natual beauty with fabulous large Volcanic boulders, rocks and large stone beaches, restaurant bars that open seasonal, where can you eat and drink at the edge of waters so close to your feet. Tranquility,... More

You will find Altea a great place to visit from the long beach to the old town, we found it a couple of years ago and stayed over Christmas and New Year at Cap Blanc a good centre to explore the area and just a bus ride from Benidorm but we never found the time to go there. We travel most... More

Looks pretty, but was very stoney, so nowhere really to lie down or sunbathe. Quite disappointed given the other beaches on the Costa Blanca.
