Beautiful beach, clean with relaxing sound of the waves. Just be careful when the red flag is up and do not go swimming. Monsoon season is between Nov - Mac every year.

Very relax and clean beach that mostly the local people brings their family there for panic and swimming. Does not have many rocks on the beach, it does have beach cafe and food stalls nearby. Have to pay RM 3 for parking if driving.

Nice quiet beach in Cherating- flat, no surf. Great for children. No lifeguards on beach. Clean yellow sand beach.

A great peaceful holiday destination and location in Malaysia away from the cities. Easy 50 minute drive from Kuantan airport

Lovely long stretch of fine, white sandy beach. Nice to walk along the beach as it is cooling with the sea breeze blowing against you. Can see the immense South China Sea. Saw people having fun at the beach - flying kites, building sand castles,...More

We stayed at the fabulous Royal Chulan at the Kampung Cherating Baru end of the beach. The beach itself is golden clean and deserted. We cant understand why...We last visited Cherating in 1994 and it seemed to be much more of a party place then....More

Nice quite beach at the Club Med area. The surf can be a bit rough for swimming (we were there in July). Sand was fine and clean.

Nice white golden sands but not designed for tourists. Very small town with little food services. Unless you plan to spend time at Club Med or one of the big hotel. Be sure to pack foods and drinks.

Nothing outstanding or spectacular. Bland and boring. Have seen other nicer and much more scenic and beautiful. Didn't see anyone one swimming in the beach during my three days stay at Club Med.

Really long stretch of beach to explore. Strong waves and recommended for surfing if you are into this. Beach is very accessible as it is situated right next to the Club Med Cherating Resort rooms. Only open to Club Med guests, thus very private.

We saw some really nice modern villa right on the beach, sorry do not know the name of the 2 places, but they looked fantastic, and the beach access was great!
