We loved the historical significance of Hipocrates tree. There was no over the top build up to it with long queues spilling onto surrounding paths. It was a definite pleasure trip taken at your pace....but so tragic that the earthquake in August 2017 caused irreparable...More

It's nice to see the tree but unfortunately there is a lot of graffiti around and the rest of the area doesn't really look a that inviting.

Very old but surrounded by scaffolding which detracted from the historic nature of it . Surrounding square has been damaged by the recent earthquack but cafes still open .

This is an interesting place to see although there has been some damage to surrounding building from the July earthquake with repairs taking place whilst we were there. Restaurants close by looked good too.

This is not the original tree, for it was dated between 500 and 1000 years of age. But the site has a lot of history. I would have enjoyed a mo re insightful sign with a few more known facts.
