Lovely castle to explore in the sun! Great views from all angles and we really enjoyed our cultural trip before cold drink to cool off!

Hidden behind its high exterior walls is a gem of a ruin. You can walk around the different levels, discovering hidden courtyards, taking in the views of the harbour and examining pieces of the old architecture scattered around. It is easy to imagine how it was and it almost has a romantic feel to it (from a female perspective); men... More

Classic old castle to explore and walk about. Old ruins and fantastic views. Hints of St. John's knights all about.

It is easy to spend several hours here, just walking the grounds and battlements. Superb views of the harbour. There is also plenty of history here, with numerous old relics and statues. It is also a fantastic place to watch the different species of lizard that seem to be everywhere.

The castle of Kos is well worth the price of admission as there is plenty to see and lots of great photo opportunities. The building and ruins are in good condition and the area is quite large so expect to spend a few hours soaking it all in as you explore the location. It's probably not as good as the... More

Don't know much about what we were looking at, but it was pretty awesome to see. It was pretty hot while we were there, but I very much enjoyed our stroll through the castle and the surrounding area.

For 3 euro i shouldn't complain. It was absolutely stunning however lacked any information about the castle. Would have been nice to read about it. Also be aware when with kids. Lots of health and safety issues, sudden drops etc. Glad I've seen it but won't be returning

It was great walking around on a great sun kissed day, and the views really are unparalleled on the island! Great if you do or do not love history! Kos the birthplace of the great Hippocrates! After who's great words the "Hippocratic oath" that medical practitioners the world over take!! Can it get better than that?? I wonder!
