It is a momument to the Russian founder of the city of Yakutsk in Sakha Yakutia. It consists of a huge stele and a statue of Beketov in front of it. Personally, I find it controversial because it celebrates colonisation of Siberia by the Russians.

visit it occasionally, just evening jogging. As I understood it is difficult to approach, it is a bit far from the center and don't think people can visit it suddenly. On;y if you get the guide or locals.
