Animals live in small cages which is a bit sad. To be fair, the zoo lacks money for maintenance. . Good selection of Arctic birds and aminals. Its 50 km from Yakutsk but buses run regularly from the bus station

I've visited the place throughout last few years consecutive. Overall it's very pleasing to see quality of life of animals getting better and better. I'd appreciate if it could turn into somewhat Singapore zoo style in future, but i can see that effort is there....More

It's a small zoo, the most northern in the world with quite some local animals, including polar bears (they had a cub the time we were there). Some albinos where there as well (Peacock, crow). Wolves, bear, foxes, elks, reindeers, Yaks and other animals.

I saw lot of birds and animals that can survive in the cold. Some of these animals are the Brown bear, Reindeer, Polar bear, Grey wolf, Golden eagle etc. Yakutsk Zoo Orto Doidu is a zoo that you must visit.
