This is yet another amazing place in Sri Lanka. Ancient ruins, which leave you wondering about their grandeur in their heyday. Not a lot of information available on-site,so you could consider hiring a guide. Otherwise, would be great to first look up the history of the place before visiting, so you can co-relate the ruins with their past history. I personally would rate this place as a must visit but children and people who arent particularly fascinated by history might find this dull.…

Enjoyed this visit went with our tour guide who has been with us for 5 days so far on our 2nd trip to lovely Sri Lanka Would highly recommend a visit you won’t be disappointed

I love to learn about the history of other cultures and Sri Lanka has a lot of history but you can get to that point where you feel you are seeing the same thing over and over.

It's a very interesting temple complex, and there is sooo much to see, so thankfully we had a local guide to show us the highlights. It's very hot so be prepared to take a spare pair of socks as the sand and stones can heat up quite considerable if you go later in the day - you must remove shoes to enter the temple area itself.…
