Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a brilliantly presented museum. Steeped in racing history and very interesting. A visit is well worth while and I an sure it would be equally appeal to children

The small but impressive collection is well worth a visit for car lovers and families. The museum showcases more than the open-wheel Grand Prix cars; there also are road-racing cars and some classics that played a role in Macau's history. The museum is well laid out, with informative displays and interactive driving games for kids. Admission was free during our visit.

We went to Grand Prix Museum by foot coming from Sands. We were actually looking for the bus stop to get to it but instead found street signs saying we were where the musuem is supposed to be. We got a little confused and lost though because I was expecting it to be at the corner of the streets as the maps suggest, when in fact, it was the 2nd building from the corner so we wasted time and effort going around the corner building thinking it was already the museum. The building is marked with something with "Turisticas Actividades" and then a minimally visible "Grand Prix Museum" and "Wine Museum" on the walls of the building's facade. It was worth the trouble and the walk though. Free admission, lots of cars and bikes, a simulator (also free) and a souvenir shop. I wanted to get a jacket since they were selling the black ones at only 100MOP but they were out of size. There were other jackets at 200MOP but orange was just too loud for me. Lots of other items in the souvenir shop. This was one of the places I and my little toddler boy enjoyed most in Macau.

Love the F3 that is my most favorite! If you watch the first 2 days which is only the practice event you only pay 50mop but when you do the race day it can cost from 900mop something, But it is worth to visit during November as there is also the Macau Food Festival in the Macau Tower area.

You must check it out! There's many of the ex-GP cars/bikes and antiques in there. Roof was dripping (!) when I was there. Entrance was tad difficult to find. Free entrance when I visited the place.
They have a model of the Macau GP route too.

You might get lost trying to find the place. There's no sign, of course (which seems to be the standard in some places in Macau). It's about three blocks from the "Lotus Flower in Full Bloom", Lotus Square. Once you find it, though, you'll be enjoying the museum (plus, there's a wine museum right beside it). Lots to see so shoot away. TIP: you might want to bring home a cool macau grand prix backpack or jacket. It's affordable.

Generally we found that there was not much to do in Macau during the daytime; there is no doubt the city revolves around its nightlife and casinos.
This was one of the few exceptions. When we visited they were offering free entry, but we would gladly have paid.
I'm not a huge car or racing fan at all, but this was a fascinating place. There are many cars on display, but the most interesting bits are the biographies and historical information displayed on the walls of the museum.
You certainly don't need to be a Grand Prix fanatic to enjoy this attraction.

Big and Little Puddle both love everything to do with the Grand Prix/cars/motorbikes so a visit here was a must and they weren't disappointed. Entry fee was very reasonable and there was plenty of exhibits to see and photograph.

Is the Grand Prix museum already open now? I can't see a 2019 post regarding the museum. If it is still closed, may I know when it will possibly reopen? Please reply. Thank you.

Still closed yesterday
Did you visit recently? I see on the website that it's closed for renovation. I am planning to go to Hong Kong in April and would like to take a day trip to Macau. And this museum seems cool.
I went to the Grand Prix Museum this month, but unfortunately it was closed.

May I know if the Grand Prix Museum is now open (or will it be open in March 2018)? It seems from the reviews that some people have visited recently. But I have called the phone number but no one has answered. Thank you.
