Nice Air Conditioned Museum

Interesting history that is so different from Hong Kong. Oh yes, did I mention that it is air conditioned? Nice relief from the heat.

A visit to the Macau Museum was a welcome reprieve from the unforgiving heat and humidity of the city. The museum has a wonderful exhibit and display of Macau's history. Definitely worth a visit if you're interested in learning more about the city in addition to visiting their famous landmarks or gambling in the casinos.

A good introduction to life under the Portuguese. Worth visiting after a walk around the walls of the fort and a welcome refuge from the July heat.

entry cheap - and well worth a stop if only to escape the ridiculous heat and humidity. Even the kids enjoyed it- took about 2 hours to see properly including the videos.

It's a simple museum built near the Cathedral ruins. It does tell the story of Macau but in a factual, fairly uncritical way. Good if one wants a quick historical overview of the city.

If you're not a casino person, there's really not that much that Macao has for you, apart from a few places like this museum. This was a nice place to visit, and it was included in the city tour.

It was small by normal standards and the collections on display were limited. The layout was pleasant. When you reach the top level of the displays you will find that in order to exit you will have to come out onto a terrace from where you can access the escalator to return down (not through the museum but outside). It was a museum worth seeing but the time constraints compelled us to just rush through the museum of course taking a few snaps. But strictly speaking it needs a few hours to go through this museum
