Great to see

This was great to see while visiting Playa Sucia which is adjacent to the lighthouse. Great views after the short hike. Highly recommended.

Went to the Faro on a cultural visit to Cabo Rojo with a group from the PR Genealogical Society. The view from the area is beyond spectacular. You enter the area through an ecological area where they still process sea water salt. Must go place in Cabo Rojo, reccomended.

We went on a Wednesday and of course that is the only day the lighthouse is closed. We walked the hot path up to the lighthouse and were not disappointed. The views were spectacular. Don't get too close to get that perfect shot though, there is a marker in memory of someone who fell to his death. The parking is... More

Full disclosure--we didn't go into the lighthouse itself, mainly spent time on the cliffs around it. They alone are worth the trip! Beautiful rock bridges and other formations. The road to get in was a bit rough but we managed it just fine in a Toyota Corolla.

We didn't actually venture into the lighthouse but instead walked around it and enjoyed the views. We even saw some porpoises breaching the waters off the cliff edge. Amazing views but parking can be tough and the road in is rough. All worth it though I think.

Interest history, well preserved, only open to school tours. Bad road to get there. Little parking. Very scenic coastline.

This a must-visit place when you travel to Cabo Rojo. Located on top of 200-foot limestone cliffs overlooking the Caribbean Sea, the Cabo Rojo Lighthouse marks the south-west tip of Puerto Rico. It's located at the end of the "salinas" Road 301, you must get a car to get there. Once you park, you must walk 15-20 minutes (easy to... More

We went here specifically for the sunset and it did not disappoint. Once here, we discovered that the views were even more spectacular than imagined. I did not realize in advance that we would be up on a sheer cliff looking down on the ocean. The lighthouse is not one of the more picturesque that I have ever seen. Down... More

The lighthouse itself isn't the highlight of this destination. The walks around the point are amazing! The views of the ocean and the island itself are to die for! We came expecting a lighthouse and instead spent hours walking around the point and finding hidden arches and beaches all over. It is a must see if you're in the area,... More

Spectacular views in a remote area and well protected natural reserve. One of my favorite places on the island. You can see iguanas and beautiful cliffs. You can also see and go to beautiful playa sucia from there. There city offers free transportation from the parking to the light house.
