The fact that you have to take a boat to reach this site makes this trip very different. There is a very interesting entrance with a nice setting along the river, with an captivating walk in the jungle to other buildings, especially the small acropolis,...More

We had a great time at Yaxchilan. It has a different feel than other sites because it still has lots of greenery and not all of the site is completely excavated. Plus just to get in you have to walk through a dark structure full...More

Best option is to book guided tour from Palenque, unless you are on road trip. It takes around 2 hour drive from Palenque to Usumacinta river shore - Frontora Corozal, and then 30 minutes boat trip to Yaxtilan. Normally all trips clubs Yaxchilan and Bonampak.
