From Lenno you walk up towards the sanctuary through suburban streets until you come to the olive groves. On the way up there are 14 small chapels each telling events in the life of Christ. The chapels, sanctuary and the mountain are one of nine...More

I’m glad I did it but it is a bit of a slog from Sala Comacina up to the top. The views are wonderful and the 14 chapels have amazing statues and paintings of scenes from Christ’s life. They could do with some TLC but...More

A really beautiful church at the top of a fascinating climb past 14 chapels with a beautiful view of lake Como from the terrace. There is a small bar/coffee shop next to the church with clean and modern toilets-highly recommended.

Regardless of any of your spiritual persuasion this is a fantastic walk, un-touristy (Late Sept 2017) with fantastic views of Lake Como to boot. The 14x chapels on the way up to the Sanctuary are sweet and horrifying in equal measure with the 1:1 depictions...More

This walk up a steep hill takes you past life-size plaster scenes from Jesus' life some of which have been renovated. The church at the top is in beautiful condition and the side chapel where people have left paintings of incidents where they have felt...More

Nice trip, even for young children. This because of the fact that every little house/church there is a next part of the story about Jesus. Great views make the tirp complete

....this walk is well worthwhile. There is a leaflet available to guide you, but you could probably manage by just looking out for signs in Lenno. The route is steep, and sweaty work if it's hot. But even if you are not interested in the...More

You follow Jesus' life thru small chapels that have real size figures of the event. Then at the top you find a beautiful church and a nice view of the Lake Como

Very nice art work inside but again you could not enter so had to peer through the window. What I did see was amazing and work that went into this is makes you wonder!
