This place is crumbling and dangerous, but we went anyway. Dogs practically killed us, and we risked our lives climbing, but hey, lifes an adventure isn't it?

Since the earthquake this area has seen a lot of hardship but the cross offers really lovely views and scenery.

I believe the roads after the earthquake are probably not in working order to be able to visit. I have seen videos of the road, it is damaged

A short walk up, street has a big sign and you can walk up that way BUT there are stairs up NO sign that a lovely local woman pointed out. The views from up on top of the cross are well worth climbing the 200...More

This is a wonderful place to take great pictures of Bahia! The problem is there is a lot of walking to the top for those who have trouble with it. There are also a lot of wild dogs that are left walking in the neighborhood...More
