...look for fairies, leprechauns and other mystical creatures on this beautiful wooded walk under the arches of the most magnificant tress you can imagine. Cross an ancient bridge and find yourself in the quaint, friendly village of Cong. You won't be disappointed!

The Cong Heritage Trail was created some years ago and is maintained by the local Heritage Society. There is a trail leaflet which describes the heritage sites around the village and is available from local shops. Each site has a a number allocated to it...More

We walked from Ashford castle to Cong and back to the castle. This little town has so much to offer!! Chapel ruins, John Wayne references, a beautiful river and a lovely quiet forest. There are several restaurants and a park for relaxing! Had to rent...More

My daughter and I enjoyed a lovey tour with our tour guide Frank Thorton....yes that's right Thorton was his name. Frank was dlightful. He knew word for word everything said by Maureen O'Hara and John Wayne at each location bringing the classic movie to life....More

We were drawn to Cong to see the area where the Quiet Man was filmed. The town was lovely and the scenery was delightful! It was definitely worth the stop!
